CAN SPORTS MASSAGE HELP WITH LAMENESS?
Yes, muscle problems are cumulative. If one muscle hurts, the horse must compensate by overuse of the other muscle. If your vet has ruled out any possible structural issues, then it could possibly be muscle related and a massage has great potential to help!
HOW DO YOU KNOW IF THE MASSAGE IS AFFECTIVE?
Horses will start to lick, chew, yawn, pass gas and even fall asleep during a massage. These are all good signs the massage is affective.
